Inner Weather is a series of photographs made through repeated return to open places and low light, where atmosphere becomes the subject as much as the land. I’m not interested in describing a location so much as recording states: the way darkness, haze, glare, frost and distance can shift the world from something seen into something felt.
The images gather around elemental events—fire held over water, a darkened sun, a bright path cutting through a field, plant forms pressed against vast sky. These are not symbols chosen in advance; they are encounters shaped into a quiet visual language. Long exposure, drift and softened focus allow the photographs to hover between clarity and dissolution, closer to memory than document.
Across the series the elements act like verbs: burning, dimming, rising, clearing. The sequence moves through different pressures—heat, cold, weight, stillness—toward a calmer attention. Ultimately, the work asks for slower looking, where meaning isn’t extracted but allowed to gather, and where the outer world briefly echoes (and steadies) the inner one.
