Our connections no longer follow a clear order. They circulate, fragmented, like hyperlinks in a network.
This series explores these territories of friction; where our traces intersect with systems that surpass us. Thresholds towards a world adjusting to a new form of presence.
Between before and what is to come.
In the muffled pulse of systems.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
Based in Montreal, Didier Guyaux is a visual artist whose practice explores the points of friction between human experience and the invisible systems that structure it. With a dual background in photography and web development, he is interested in the fragmentation of social bonds in the network age, treating the image as a threshold between the intimate and the foreign.
His work relies on narrative staging; he conceives each photograph like a painter, or a programmer, constructing deliberate scenes that explores how humanity and technology intersect. Every element, from the placement of a person to the specific angle of light, is intentionally arranged. This methodical approach is the basis of his ongoing series Coexistence.
