This is one of 12 photographs from a series I created called "The devil's Agenda." In this photograph, an angel is struggling with being stuck between heaven and hell.
The project was a collaboration with make-up artist Angelo Barsetti.
The photographs in the series were created using Polaroid large format film, available light and long exposures. Colours were created by using gels in front of the lens, similar to printing in an analog colour darkroom. The combination of the body paint, the slight camera shake from the long exposures and the on-camera colour grading provided a painterly feel with no need for Photoshop or any post production manipulation.
