Experimental nominee

The work is made using the technique of cameraless photography - photogram and printing with the cyanotype technique.
Each diptych work consists of 4 separate works 30x75 cm. The works can exist separately, but according to my idea they will be united into a single composition.
The concept of the diptych is based on the image of water, sky and sun, as well as on the process of the cycle of states of nature, these images in the works become a metaphor for time and the eternal cycle of events on earth, the cyclicality of what is happening.
Time is one of the most mysterious and philosophical concepts that we encounter every day. The most curious thing is that time can be compared to the elements of nature, especially water - it is always in motion.
According to philosophy, the original analogy of the connection between time and water is their impermanence and variability. Water flows and changes its shape throughout time and space. In the same way, time flows and seems endless, but we see only a small part of it - the one that has passed, and we strive to understand what will happen in the future.

Anna Melnikova is a graphic designer, artist, art photographer, associate
professor, master of art history. She was born on June 14, 1986, Belarus.
In 2011 she graduated from the Department of Graphic Design of the
Belarusian State Academy of Arts. In 2012 she graduated from the Belarusian
State Academy of Arts with a degree in Art History. Associate Professor of the Department of Graphic Design of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts from 2011 to 2022, Minsk (Belarus). From 2018 to 2020 she was the Acting Head of the Graphic Design Department of the Belarusian State Academy of Arts.Since 2022, sheis the chairman of the graphic design and photography section of the "Belarusian Union of Artists".
Creatively works in the field of graphics, art photography (the main activity
is focused on experimental and alternative photography and old manual techniques
for printing photographic images). Participant of more than 100 national and international exhibitions and projects, including 7personal exhibitions.Works are in private collections of Belarus, Italy, France, Great Britain,
Czech Republic,Slovak Republic. Member of the graphic design section of the "Belarusian Union of Artists"
since 2015. Member of Member of the alternative photography association Gruppo
