Only Gabriela, my daughter, saw this immediately.
It's not really literal, and no, it wasn't consciously planned for this purpose.
Perhaps they shouldn't even be called that, but the "coincidences" surrounding this work were so numerous and incisive that it was inevitable that this series of photographs would represent my declaration of affection, admiration, and longing...
This one hurts a little, you know that, don't you?
The soap bubbles were photographed in a studio and subsequently edited in Adobe Photoshop, with retouching, color adjustments, and image merging from the same photo session.
Beautiful, perfect, uncontrollable, fun, lonely, misshapen, transparent, multicolored, magical, simple, irreversible, fleeting... could this all be just about soap bubbles?
