The ‘Written in the Sand’ series consists of photographs taken early in the morning along Aldinga Beach in South Australia. These images, shaped by the forces of nature, appeared before me unexpectedly and immediately captivated my attention. Their simple beauty, characterised by delicate forms and gentle tones, resembled subtle pencil drawings—poetry rendered in a visual form.
I returned to the same spot several times, hoping to witness this beauty again. Yet, as Heraclitus reminds us, “No man ever steps in the same river twice.”
