Decay of the Flowers is a photographic series exploring flowers in a state of decay.
This state is inevitable, yet often uncomfortable to witness. I approached the flowers as I would a person in front of the camera, treating each subject with dignity, presence, and depth.
I intended to present decay not as something repulsive, but as something beautiful, complex, and meaningful. The series challenges the idea that beauty belongs only to youth, freshness, and perfection. Instead, it reveals that fragility, impermanence, and transformation also carry their own form of beauty.
This project reflects on the natural cycle of life and death and the quiet poetry found in fading forms. The withering petals, bruised textures, and muted colours become visual metaphors for time, vulnerability, and the human condition. Through this work, I invite the viewer to reconsider decay not as an end, but as a powerful and expressive stage of existence.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
I am photographer specializing in portraiture and still life. I grew up in Poland, where taking photographs to me was a way to explore the reality around me. In 2004 I move to London where my journey with photography has begun in a wider spectrum. Diversity of the surroundings made me want to transform photography from hobby into vocation. In 2014 I graduated in Fine Art Photography from London Metropolitan University and started working as a professional photographer, dedicating lots of time to personal projects and research. Working on location I used the same principals but instead bringing the subject to the studio I recreated the studio in the subject’s natural environment.
