Held is a meditation on emotional containment and the pressure placed on women to remain composed while navigating inner turbulence. The translucent veil functions as both surface and boundary—simultaneously revealing and obscuring, asserting presence while softening identity.
Rather than a linear narrative, the images form a psychological arc, traced through subtle shifts in posture, tension, and gesture. The work resists spectacle; its force lies in restraint, stillness, and the sustained dignity of endurance.
