I photograph and write. My work exists in the space between seeing and feeling. I do not photograph nature in order to document it, but to make its essence and its truth tangible - the tender and the dark, the fleeting and the beautiful moments within us and beyond us. I often say that I reveal what lies beneath my skin, and what exists outside of it.
I explore the emotional power of light and color and extend it through language, through lyrical texts. In this way, my images become metaphors for beauty and melancholy, for hope and fear, for loving, for finding oneself and losing oneself.
On my walks, I encounter these moments of transience and poetry again and again.
In the series South Tyrol, I present hazy, mist-filled forests and mountains, a veiled sky, and a deep sense of stillness within this vagueness. The series was created for an exhibition at the Museum Weißes Schloss Heroldsberg. Here, I intertwine my experience of chronic illness with nature. In one of the poems, I write:
"So I keep casting my will
into the milky grey
and pay even closer attention
to everything that holds a color“
