Photographed in Patagonia, this black and white series explores the granite towers of the southern Andes as they emerge and dissolve within fast-moving cloud.
Patagonian weather is not a backdrop but a force — sculpting perception moment by moment. Peaks appear, vanish, and reassemble as mist wraps their faces and wind drives weather across the range. The mountains feel less like static landforms and more like living structures shaped by atmosphere.
Working in monochrome removes the distraction of colour and emphasises form, contrast, and texture — the vertical thrust of stone against the fluid motion of sky. Light fractures across ridgelines while cloud softens and obscures, creating tension between permanence and transience.
Together, these images consider endurance and fragility: ancient granite rising through conditions that are constantly shifting. The series invites the viewer into a space where time slows, scale dissolves, and the dialogue between rock and weather becomes almost architectural.

DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
My work explores the quiet power of landscape—its shifting light, organic patterns, and the way land reveals itself when viewed from both ground and air. I am drawn to moments where place becomes abstract: lines shaped by water, colour formed by season, and terrain sculpted by time. These images sit between documentation and interpretation, inviting the viewer to slow down and engage with rhythm, form, and stillness rather than scale or geography.
My work has received international recognition, including winning the Gold Cup Award from Master Photographers International, First Place in the International Imaging Competition (Aerial), First Place in the Julia Margaret Cameron Award for Stories, a Judges’ Choice Award at the International Imaging Competition, and multiple Platinum, Gold, and Silver awards across major international photography competitions.
