I approach architecture and landscapes encountered through travel not as documentation, but as experiences of time. In unfamiliar places, past memories and present sensations are simultaneously evoked, creating a psychological state where familiarity and estrangement intersect. Travel thus becomes a mental journey that reveals layered temporal awareness beyond physical movement.
Buildings shaped by long histories blur the boundary between reality and unreality, allowing different eras to coexist within a single scene. Rather than reproducing such moments, I reconstruct them by overlapping and arranging collected images, forming pictorial spaces where multiple layers of time and space emerge.
Circular imagery suggests continuity and return without beginning or end, challenging linear concepts of time. Repeated forms and layered structures show memory as fluid and continually reinterpreted. Multiple viewpoints coexist within the same image, and different moments resonate in one visual field.
My work does not depict a specific place but visualizes the operation of memory. Viewers encounter expanded perception, experiencing several temporalities simultaneously and reconsidering the flow of time through images shaped by travel.
