This series is a psychological portrait of a ballet dancer, exploring the dynamic layers of an artist’s identity. My goal was to move beyond the physical grace of the stage and delve into the duality of the performer's existence—the tension between the vulnerable human being and the disciplined "character" they inhabit. Drawing inspiration from the portraiture of the Old Masters, I utilized chiaroscuro and a painterly aesthetic to capture the emotional weight of this transformation.
I have intentionally omitted traditional, performance-oriented stage poses to prioritize the raw, personal identity of the individual over his professional persona. This "Anatomy" is a visual study of the dancer’s internal architecture, revealing the dreams, the physical discipline, and the profound emotional cost of a life dedicated to art.
