Portrait nominee

Across countries, across languages, children are calling out for peace, for safe and healthy environments, for love and care. No child should ever have to question if they are protected, valued or cherished. Every child hast he right to be alive. We as adult must make sure that children survive and develop in the best possible way. With this work, I want to ask us adults, are we still capable of doing this? Are not we too carried away by our desires, ambitions and selfishness? There are too many conflicts and wars going on in the world right now.. Maybe now is he time to finally put an end to all of this and pay attention to the essential things, so that our next generation can be grateful to us and ultimately we can be an example to them? This portrait depicts a child who is only 3 years old…

AUTHOR

Sabina Grams was born in Riga, Latvia, and has been living and working in Germany since 2010. Alongside her artistic practice, she works as a commercial photographer in a photography and design studio in Nebra. She holds both a Bachelor´s and a Master´s degree from the Latvian Academy of Art. Since 2001, her works has been shown in numerous exhibitions across Europe. Her photographs have also received nominations in international photography competitions, including the ND Awards, Chromatic Awards, Fine Art Photography Awards, and the Color Awards by Dodho Magazine.
