Godparents used to have a special significance in the lives of children and adults alike. You often see photographs of mothers with their children. However, I decided to capture this special bond.
William and Marie, who are captured in the photograph, have a special meaning. The photograph is stylized according to the model of William Morris (his natural repeating textures) as well as Christianity and the Pre-Raphaelites. At the same time, however, I touch on our most important artist, Alfons Mucha, who is the inspiration for all my work and ecological overlap, which depicts man as an integral part of nature.
The photograph is unique in that it has not been significantly altered. The colors, nature, and clothing have all been captured as they are in reality. I like to show people that a world without embellishment can offer beautiful, even magical moments. This very rare rose covers the hedge for only one week a year. It shows us how fleeting everything is, like childhood or youth, but perhaps it is precisely this transience that has an irresistible charm in life.
