Street Photography nominee

In this picture we see a surreal landscape featuring an old abandoned car in the middle of a street, in front of an old building in Mexico City. The image captures the essence –DNA– of Latin American capitals. At the same time, it subtly tells the story and unique character of neighbourhoods in the city center. The photo was taken with an analog camera and developed to preserve the grain, which gives the final print its distinctive texture and mood.

Photography is part of my DNA. I've learned the craft as self taught very early and I've been with a camera for more than 30 years. I've worked for fashion magazines and major advertising agencies in Latin America.
I got the recognition of "Vogue Latin fashion awards" for best fashion photographer (2002) and a Mention of Honor in the IPA awards for my work in 2020, 2021, 2022and 2023

I have studied film in New York City, and I have worked since then with photography and film mixing the art of storytelling. I´m based in Madrid- Spain but I'm originally from Venezuela.
