Abstract nominee

1.Galaxy from a Distance: The camera has rendered the image into what seems like a galaxy on it's on, a vortex, another Milky Way.

2.The Odyssey Destination: Looking up at the destination, after taking off...
The Moon, emitting it's own glow, surrounded by the "stars", full of energy.

3.Lifting Off To Another Planet: The Beginning of another Odyssey

4.The Edge of The Galaxy: What happens when we reach the end of the Galaxy, or the universe? Will we see a cluster of stars, much like our sun in the distance?

Like most of Raymond's work, he would prefer that you read the title given and let your imagination run wild, before bringing the audience back to earth by providing the actual location of the shoot.
Shot at the Supertree Grove at Gardens By The Bay, one of the iconic attractions of Singapore. These vertical gardens transform into a display of light and music at night.
Layered with multiple exposures of different settings and movements of the camera, it seems that inspiration can be gained from supposed "flaws" of the camera, such as images that are out of focus and other refractions, much like Myopia and Astigmatism.

I am an artist/photographer. My works and research revolve mainly around the concept of Photography itself, questioning and blurring the notion of Photography. By doing so, I hope that more people will be able to see Photography as more than just a recorded image.
