A few months ago, I discovered the possiblilities that offered tea scum in terms of textures and colors.
It then took me quite a long time to develop a technique that allowed me to draw shapes and get the colors that I wanted, and another technique in order to photograph the thing.
The main parameters that affect the result are :
- the mineralisation of water
- the quality and nature of the tea used for the infusion
- the shape and matter of the container
- the atmospheric conditions
- the time of decantation
One interesting thing that occurs is the establishment of some kind of fractal proximity between the large and the small, suggesting a cosmic and aesthetic unity of the world that is present inside of us as, among other things, a pattern of recognization of beauty.
