Abstract nominee

Reflections on buildings can easily be seen in Hong Kong. This series is to show the geometric elements mixing with urban abstraction under various lighting. What appears around us in this city are real but also unreal. It is like the social phenomenon - looking perfect but deformed on the other side, brightness and glamour vs darkness yet intriguing still.

Ivan WC Lai is a native Hong Kong photographer with academic background in Fashion Design. His enthusiasm in sculpture and visual arts are far more than the vanity of fashion. Being steeped in different forms of visual arts over 2 decades, Ivan makes his photography in his own perspective. He likes shooting architectural abstract ad street photography in different cities.
