Architecture nominee

The Gables Republic Center, Dallas, 1954. Architects: Harrison and Abramovitz, et al. + Omniplan Architects. The formal language surrounds emotional and aesthetical permanence, that uses precision, reduction and minimalism for finding an absolute moment in architecture. Where form can find it's perfect understanding and a compacted cultural history. Photography is a well suiting medium to develop this in terms of architecture. These photos do weigh more heavy than the try to capture a moving moment, which street photography just perfectly does. Sounds pretentious, but this would be a misunderstanding. It's difficult not to put this topic into heavy concrete bases, since already the construction of a single building results into masses of processes. I exactly try to interact into this topic, to catch some formal understanding, in an aesthetical way suiting the object and finally make the topic loosing some weight.

orn in 1971 (Vienna). Studies in jazz guitar and jazz composition. Involved in many music and art projects. 2011 debut of his band PABST where he is singer and songwriter for the first time. Further permanent bands were Noisy Town Groove with the drummer and composer Lukas Ligeti, Trafo (an electric guitar quartet) and Tricsson, an electronica band. Collaborations with Dezibel 6to 6 string and with Bella Angora, a performance artist (production for the Donaufestival 2013)

Startet to work as photographer at the father’s gallery (Michael Pabst - Munich) Exhibitions: 2016 CAC Dallas, 2015, PhotoMonth London, photo::vienna 2015 at MAK - Vienna, New York City - EyeEm-Awards 2015, 2014 Lange Nacht der Museen - Klagenfurt/Austria, Kubatur des Kabinetts - Fluc/Vienna, ao.. EyeEm Award Finalist 2015, out 200.000 applications Top 100 and Top 10 of the category "The Architect". Accordingly exhibited in New York City/Brooklyn/U.S.A 2015. Honorable mention at 2015 MIFA (Moscow International Foto Award).

Production of several recordings and maker of the record label 212 Records. Plays since 20 years concerts mainly in Europe and the USA. Co-composer (with Jury Everhartz) of the opera "der automatische Teufel".
