DESCRIPTION
Series of portraits of strangers met on the streets of Perth Western Australia paired with found foliage|feathers|bottles. Each image of this series was designed to fit into a larger body of work - a visual journal titled Meander, Triste and Awe depicting life in city in which I live.
AUTHOR
Brett Canét-Gibson is a photographer and visual artist who has produced numerous photo and editorial essays for both national and international publications. He was shortlisted for the 2015,2016 and 2017 National Photographic Portrait Prize and exhibited at the NPG in Canberra, awarded People’s Choice for the Head On Photo Awards Festival - the nation’s most prestigious showcase for global photography, finalist of the PCP’s Iris Award, and winner of the City of Swan’s Art Award for Most Outstanding Work and Winner for the 2016 Percival Portrait Prize.
