DESCRIPTION
A ship loaded with containers at sea or docked at the port,full of goods,is,if the question was thus made the most immediate image to define what is a container. But this is only part of the truth. A container is also a grocery store, a barber, an office, a warehouse, a bar ... an "open window". Containers freed from its initial use. Containers have the ability to acquire own life. They complemente each other to gain the size multifunction objects. A thousand kilometers from the sea, then the containers emerge as a kind of meteorite designed the confines of space, coming to life, subject to the metamorphosis of the usefulness and human need. Containers that travel thousands, if not millions, of nautical miles in the back of giant containerships across the oceans, how many times are not the haven of families in them make their home. A container has as few essentials to the global life today, the frenzy of modern life, the regenerative capacity of their condition: the containers are life, even if sometimes it is difficult to just look for them.
AUTHOR
Bruno Fonseca is a Portuguese photographer born in 1972. Following his great passion, he took a professional photography course at the Portuguese Institute of Photography (IPF) between 2005 and 2007, and immediately began working as a freelancer.
He has been living in Angola since 1995, starting to collaborate with the Portuguese News Agency (LUSA) until 2011, being represented by the 4SEE Agency since 2012.

His work in documentary photography has focused mainly on the social and cultural aspects of communities in Portugal and Angola.
He has been present at collective and solo exhibitions in Portugal, Slovakia, Angola and Australia and his work has been published regularly in the main Portuguese newspapers / magazines and in several international media.
He participated in an Artistic Residency of the Biennial Foundation of Cerveira, having developed a documentary work of memory on the Salto: phenomenon of illegal emigration to France in the decade of the 70, having been selected to be present in the XVIII Biennial of Cerveira of 2015.
