For my photography story "Exanimare" (Latin: taking the breath) I have chosen the topic „visualization of anxiety disorders“.
I made the choice of the subject, because I myself suffer from anxiety disorders and, besides, it is a very topical social problem, because more and more people suffer from mental illnesses.
I go, both on the scientific aspects as well as on my personal experiences. It is a homogeneous overall work arise subjectively and objectively dealing with the topic. The subjetive part I will visualize the basis of my own experience, in which I show emotions through metaphors and atmospheres.
The aim of this study is to describe the disease and to bring them closer to the viewer the subject, thus to achieve his understanding and his empathy and thereby the disease to take its horrors, which is triggered by many as soon as the word „psyche“ or similar is heard.
