DESCRIPTION
The subject of this diptych is one of my dearest friends.
The presented image derives from a dream in which I pictured my friend in the exact way I portrayed her.
The balloon, the night vest, the scissors all rapresent elements that my subconsciuous translated from our discussions on her private lives; from her strong desire of becoming a mother that contrast with the decision of getting separated from her boyfriend that she still loves.
The balloon is the translation of maternity; the scissors of the break up that inevitably will happen; the night vest and the closed eyes rapresent the sleep of the mind that makes us blind in front of reality.
The title “Awareness” is what I wish for her in my dream.
Being aware of herself, of her desires, of her future even without a male figure by her side and take back the great strenght that she owns.
It is a message to all women, myself too.

2010 - Degree in Photojournalism at Academy of Fine Arts in Naples ( 110 / 110 cum laude)
2009/2014 Collaborated with the neapolitan Photojournalistic Agency and was a stringer for the Agence France Presse (AFP)
2012 - Inscription at National Order of Journalists (number: 148512)
Since 2014 freelance photographer and artist
Her photos have been published on magazine such as Internazionale,L'Espresso,Panorama,Sette
