SHAMAN - totems (Series)
DESCRIPTION
Series of photographs ‘Shaman’- Totems
These photographs were made in 2015 in Rijeka while I was 6month pregnant with my son.
It was about seeing a new life being born threw the eyes of a shaman.. giving a new baby to be born threw this photo ritual, on this unusual way, strengths threw animal totems that occurred in mothers meditations. This photo series were made on very simple way, by applying photos of wild animals chosen to be totems in this occasion threw the projector on my body. I used ancient shamanic totems projected on my body in order to transfer all those virtues, strengths and divine characteristics of each animal energetically threw my body on my child in the belly.
Totem is not just an animal, it is a spiritual being that has a deep connection with the carrier. It also has the power to protect and guide and to be a leader in life while being id deep doubts, contemplations and confusions.
My experience with totems was deep and profound and I felt the benefits of this experience, so this is my call for every one else to go in the search of totems for yourself.
