Fine Art nominee

Thee Three consists of a cyanotype work of three skeleton leaves shown in various patterns. It is a reference to Anna Atkins and the earliest of photography process in recoding botany specimens. These days this process is considered an alternative photography method, taking a back seat to digital. y works reflect the delicacy of nature, the forgotten art of alternative photography and our collective memory of times past.

I have been working as an artist the last 15 years, having just completed my BFA in 2016. I am continuing with my BFA Honours in 2017 while exploring more with my artistic practice. My main area of research leads towards stories, personal narratives and how we remember. I create works which provides talking point and question what we think we know about our past, place in the world and ourselves.
