Souls are drifting up to heaven or falling down to hell. This photo was brought to life as an attempt to recreate an illusion of “drifting” people, emerging out of the darkness and ascending to the light. It was inspired by many religious paintings of Neoclassical Europe. The project was particularly exciting because it required thinking "out of the box" how real people, light, and camera could repeat the seamlessness of a painting.

I am a director and cinematographer based in New York. Photography allows me to combine combine both. For me it is a way to constantly enhance the skill of telling a story through one single still. It also allows me to release creative tension, as a process of making films is more tedious and complicated. It gives me inspiration and ideas. I do not have yet any awards or exhibitions in photography. Only recently I have started paying more attention to self-marketing.
