Sunflower (Single)
DESCRIPTION
With strong seasonal Northerly winds comes the arrival of jellyfish in numbers to Byron Bay, Australia's most Eastern (mainland) point. This day I decided to focus on this incredible pelagic jellyfish and the way it was moving each time I come closer and closer with my camera. I couldn't help but see an uncanny resemblance of a sunflower as this ball of jelly moved carrying half a dozen small fish with it on its journey around my local bay. I blacked out the entire background in Photoshop to ensure the subject is what draws the eye, noticing small details in the texture of this amazing oceanic creature . Photographed unter natural light while free diving.
