Shapes and Shadows (Series)
DESCRIPTION
A series of platinum prints overprinted with an additional layer of gum bichromate. The entry consists of scans of the original hand printed photographs exploring the subtle beauty of female form.
AUTHOR
I am an active photographer based in Gdynia, Poland, author of books on alternative photographic processes and fine art nude photography.
My works have been exhibited on individual and group exhibitions including:
- Exposed - Exploring the Roots, group exhibition in Lumina Galery in Vienna, Austria
- Photographic Nude 2013, group exhibition in Lightbox Photographic Galery, Oregon, USA
- Black and white - individual exhibition in 'Galeria Zamkowa, Lubin, Poland and in the Museum of Photography, Bydgoszcz, Poland
- Gone but not Forgotten - individual exhibition in Museum, Teodora and Izydor Gulgowski Ethnographic Park in Wdzydze Kiszewskie, Poland.
My photographs have been published in The Hand and View Camera magazines and awarded an honorable mention in the recent Monochrome Awards organized by Black and White magazine.
My publications include textbooks on fine art nude photography as well as on the ambrotype, the albumen, cyanotype and carbon transfer processes. More details are available at my website.
