Nudes nominee

What is to be a woman today? What misconseptions come with the feminine? What qualities does a woman have to embody to be "beautiful"? The feminine is constantly examined, redefined, judged, categorized, and labeled. Here is a woman, naked yet powerful, vulnerable, worthy and confident. She does not live in her head where judgement, self beat up, doubt have pollute her mind. She knows she is in her power when she is true to her heart, so she lives there. She stands for transformation and leads by example, she lives to inspire and and empower.

I am originally from Bulgaria and moved to the US in 1996. I'm an LA based photographer with a worldly outlook.​ I am passionate about meeting people and learning about who they are, their vision, what evokes emotion in them. I aim to capture the essence in an individual so that my images tell a story about the person infront of my camera.

I have a BA in Internationa Relations but parallel to that I have always been drawn to various art forms such as fineart and dance, thus, I have a natural facination with the human body and movement. In my photography I like to play with light to accent the unique, individual features and shape of my subject. I am also very passionate about travel so many of my images were captured while traveling the world.

I strive to create images that transcend gender, race, religion, etc., invite and engage my audience in connecting with my subjects on purely human level, through their hearts.
