Approximately half a million people in the world suffer from Epidermolysis Bullosa (E.B.) which is a group of inherited connective tissue disorders. The common symptom is extremely fragile skin that blisters and tears from minor friction or trauma.
Currently there is no treatment or cure for E.B; it is a chronic disease which is always painful, debilitating and in some cases lethal before the age of 30. This makes living with E.B. a big challenge for the patients as well as for the family and doctors who take care of them.
