People nominee

Despite being the capital of Cambodia, Phnom Penh has remained quite ignored by the tourist crowds, probably not only because its turbulent past linked to the recent genocide of the Khmer Rouge, but also because of the much more abundant archeological sites of the city of Siem Reap, which remains one of the most visited cities in Cambodia and in Asia.
However and due to this more pronounced lack of external influences, Phnom Penh preserves intact some of the traditional ways of life of Cambodians, and at some areas it is still possible to witness how the inhabitants interact between themselves as they always had before.
Having had the chance of living in Phnom Penh for some time, I have captured some of these of this aspects of their daily lives on camera, focusing in doing so in an artistic way. The scenes exposed in this series range from capturing the atmosphere of religious freedom through which different religions can live together in the same country (here exposed Buddhism and Islam) to daily moments pertaining to the daily Cambodian life.
