An immersion in an unschooled family's area of experiment, Its personal zone of discovery where It evolves in symbiosis with elements. An intimate album documenting the life of 6 siblings, my own children, living close to nature in rural France, near Bordeaux. All are moved by a powerful energy force that transforms the everyday life into a playful world blending creativity with fantasy. Born on May 1, 1968 in Bordeaux, France, Alain Laboile is a photographer and father of six. In 2004, as he needed to put together a portfolio of his work as a sculptor, he acquired a camera, and thus developped a taste for macrophotography, spurred by his passion for entomology. Later on, he pointed his lens towards his growing family which became his major subject : a life on the edge of the world, where intemporality and the universality of childhood meet.
Alain Laboile's work has since been exhibited around the world and he recentlypublished a book with Kehrer Verlag : "At the edge of the world".
