DESCRIPTION
An immersion in an unschooled family's area of experiment, Its personal zone of discovery where It evolves in symbiosis with elements. An intimate album documenting the life of 6 siblings, my own children, living close to nature in rural France, near Bordeaux. All are moved by a powerful energy force that transforms the everyday life into a playful world blending creativity with fantasy. At the heart of this collective whirlwind, arise invaluable moments of peace, serenity, withdrawal. Intense moments, when each exists as individual.
AUTHOR
Born on May 1, 1968 in Bordeaux, France, Alain Laboile is a photographer and father of six. In 2004, as he needed to put together a portfolio of his work as a sculptor, he acquired a camera, and thus developped a taste for macrophotography, spurred by his passion for entomology. Later on, he pointed his lens towards his growing family which became his major subject : a life on the edge of the world, where intemporality and the universality of childhood meet.
Alain Laboile's work has since been exhibited around the world and he recentlypublished a book with Kehrer Verlag : "At the edge of the world".
