This photo was taken for the album cover of my husband's record, Bravery and the Bell. The model is my daughter. I wanted to express the concept of navigating through life, decision making and the process of dealing with obstacles. The lantern represents hope. In our current political climate I think that is something we could all use.
We hiked up this old railway pass in the mountains that has been turned into a hiking trail called Iron Goat Trail. The wall part of a series of snowsheds installed to prevent avalanches from taking out the trains.
