Artist Bio
Lori L. Ordover
I have been an avid photographer for over 40 years documenting the world around me. My father, the inventor of the digital watch and a lover of technology purchased for me a Konica camera in the early 70’s. He gave me confidence to be curious and not fear failure. As a result I felt comfortable creating many styles of images using various film types and alternative processes and exposure modes as well as different development techniques in my basement darkroom.
I create images of rudimentary scenes of daily life, landscapes and expressive portraits I photograph with the desire to make strong, fearless, intriguing images, some images traditionally beautiful and others with a rougher, edgier aesthetic
I graduated in 2014 from the International Center of Photography Continuing Ed
My husband, Janusz Ordover has relentlessly encouraged me to devote myself to photography and to show my images to the public. My two adult children have been a source of support and unvarnished assessments of my images.
Exhibition: Los Angeles Center of Photography: Chosen for their First Fine Art Exhibition 2016
