The Borns
BORN TO BE WILD is one of the best-known and the oldest MC in Berlin. Its long tradition can be felt in these portraits of its members, who themselves are quite mysterious and aloof. One perceives neither violence nor criminality in the pictures, but rather the portrayed individuals’ physical appearance: their stare into the camera, their cut-offs and their tattoos clearly marking them as a Born. These portraits enable the beholder to meet a myth, which is rather unapproachable in real life.
