DESCRIPTION
AUTHOR
Australian photographer Craig Newell’s work is a fusion between two creative pursuits, the economical reality of commercial photography and the artists fascination with dreamlike imagery. Craig’s unconventional approach to his dreamlike imagery has led to the creation of a series of photographs that question the traditional. Craig’s influences are varied from Fred Williams, J.M.W.Turner, Sidney Nolan and Arthur Boyd, the one thing they all have in common is they are painters - not photographers.
